Guitar Lessons

Dan Smith is a multi-instrumentalist who is proficient in playing guitar, drums, piano and bass. He is a songwriter with 25 years of playing experience as well as 10 years of teaching experience. Dan has a wealth of touring and recording experience with various bands throughout the past 20+ years.

Dan’s goals are simple: make learning fun and get you playing the music you love—fast. He is patient, perceptive, and excels at breaking your challenges into manageable portions and easy to understand assignments.

Dan uses various method books to supplement his teaching. Topics of instruction include music theory, improvisation, songwriting, and proper playing technique.

 

Dan has taught students of all ages and ability levels, including neurodivergent students and those with complex learning needs, always tailoring methods to the individual. Dan teaches guitar and bass lessons for Main Street Music.
